Thank you Kerry and Life Balance Yoga & Wellness! As a long time distance runner who thrives on making myself go further and faster, I reluctantly tried yoga after you convinced me how beneficial it could be. After running the Boston Marathon in 2012, my body became very tight from cutting mileage back and ugh, just getting older!!! I even had to call my husband to pick me up at my worst because I couldn't even walk never mind run! I was afraid I was done with running... With your inspiring words and funny jokes I began. You made it very easy as a beginner and within 2 weeks, my IT band & knee pain disappeared. What I didn't expect was the mental benefit as well - I am an oncology nurse with 3 active kids and don't always realize when I need to "wind down." You have a gift of making people feel they belong on the mat even when they may not feel worthy!! Yoga has not only improved my running PRs but has helped me to run without music and focus inward on my breathing and endurance. I look forward to every class and notice the difference when I miss a class- so does my family!!! Namaste~

"This morning's Slow Flow class with Kerry was beautiful. That's not a good enough word to describe it, but it's what comes to mind when I think of my practice today. We changed things up a little and spent time on things I haven't tried before and I loved it. Kerry is good at reading her students and their moods, she must be, because she changed up the practice she was planning for today, and brought it down a notch. We had long stretch moments, I felt in such a calm meditative state throughout the entire practice. We even did a short tai chi flow which really made me feel powerful and grounded. I really enjoyed it. You all know by now I can talk too much lol, so I'm sorry for the long post. Kerry was ve...ry patient with me as I was coming to yoga for the first time. I remember my first class, not sure what to expect. I hid in the back corner with a mat that the studio has to use during class thinking that I would go to support a friend that was taking the class with me. Little did I know what would happen in that class. She made me feel so welcome, helped me modify and gave me tips to make my experience the best that it could be.
